Bhatiajee and his team achieved almost the impossible when they created the first Art Nouveau house in India comprising 17,500 sq ft and fifteen rooms with each room being in a different design. Almost 2000 full-scale drawings were prepared. Realizing his tremendous contribution I doubled his fees mid-way through the work (without his asking) and I still feel that I have paid him less in proportion to what he achieved. The term “genius” can be used for him – his aesthetic sense unmatched, unparalleled.
